It’s a still day and the weather has been kind to us. We have no real plans just a to-do list I prepared to keep myself afloat.
The fresh air is far too inviting to be stuck indoors playing with toy cars all day, so we decide to take a stroll and find some trees to sit under for a while.
With the sun peering through the clouds warming us in between intervals of a chilly breeze, setting up camp for the afternoon seemed like the perfect idea.
Francis rolled his toy cars over the roots of the tall oak trees humming to himself quietly pressing his tiny hand against the bark, I could almost picture his mind as it wondered inquisitively.
It was so still.
This is when I am most confident. This is when I am in my motherly element fueled with pride. I feel comfortable and able without questioning what I am doing and whether I am doing it the right way. And like me Francis stands tall in these moments as he acknowledges the sense of freedom.
The state of uncertainty will forever play a part in my everyday life as a mother, for now I am ok with that as I know confidence is not something that comes naturally to me more something that comes and goes.
Do you suffer with confidence issues in everyday life? Or as a parent?
Would love to hear from you – perhaps you have some tips to share on maintaining a confident approach to life.
As always, thank you for taking the time to read/follow/like it means a lot to me.
In my next blog post I will be continuing with the theme of confidence. I will be talking about my experience with pregnancy and how it has changed the way I feel about my self from both a body and mind view.
This will be available to read on Wednesday 6th – this will also include some pregnancy pictures.
